About me
Hi, my name is Bernice.
I am a User Experience Designer based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
I have an eye for detail and have a passion for planning, organisation and problem solving. I am an effective communicator and will work diligently to see projects thrive.
I'm also a coffee-loving weirdo that needs to draw and paint more! I love working with people as well as on my own and believe that every great project starts with a bit of strategy, creative thinking and attention to detail.

Why UX?
I was first exposed to UX Design during my studies at UJ. While my interest was sparked, I was only able to pursue a career in UX once I had worked off my bursary commitments.
Before working as a UX Designer, I had always felt that something was missing. I wanted to design with a purpose and I wanted to solve problems. Since stepping into my role as a UX Designer in Aug 2017, I have been able to fulfil that purpose and continue to find and solve problems daily.
Some background:
I started my UX career in the financial industry, where I’ve had the privilege to work for 3 of the biggest banks in SA.
I worked as a graphic designer and marketing manager before transitioning to UX.
I graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Multimedia.
